PORTLAND -- Fil-Am Jordan Clarkson sizzled with 26 points in 29 minutes off the bench and the Utah Jazz evened their best-of-7 series with the Denver Nuggets at 1-1 following a 124-105 Game 2 win on Thursday.

After losing Game 1 via a deflating 135-125 decision in overtime, the Jazz came out roaring in Game 2 and took control early. They led 61-48 at the halftime break and coasted the rest of the way.

"We were unselfish. We made the right plays. They were aggressive with the pick-and-rolls and that shows with the assists total," Utah head coach Quin Snyder told The Salt Lake City Tribune after his team successfully avoided an 0-2 hole by dropping 32 dimes against Denver's 22.

Game 3 of this battle between the Western Conference's No.3 (Denver) and No.6 (Utah) seed resumes on Friday (Saturday morning RP Time) at the NBA bubble inside the ESPN World Wide of Sports Complex in Buena Vista, Florida.

After scoring 57 in Game 1, Donovan Mitchell settled for 30 this time. But the All-Star guard got plenty of help besides Clarkson.

All-Star center Rudy Gobert had 19 to go along with seven rebounds and two blocks. Joe Ingles got the offense rolling early and finished with 18.

Nikola Jokic had another superb performance to lead the Nuggets with another near triple-double effort of 28 points, 11 boards and six assists. Michael Porter Jr. also poured 28 but but Jamal Murral, which carried the Nuggets with 36 points in Game 1, had a quiet 14 points.
