CHICAGO -- As he enters the twilight of a distinguished 12-year NBA career, Joakim Noah found himself in a position to win a championship that had eluded him during his nine seasons with the Chicago Bulls.

The 6-foot-11, 230-pound Noah, a product of the University of Florida, has been signed to a 10-day contract by the Los Angeles Clippers yesteday. According to multiple reports it is highly likely that the 9th overall pick of the 2017 draft will play with the Clips through the remainder of this season.

While his best years are obviously behind him now, Noah is still a huge addition for the title-contending Clips who are looking for a veteran big who can provide quality minutes off the bench on defense and rebounding.

The 35-year old Noah is also a solid locker room presence. He has appeared in 667 NBA regular season games averaging 8.8 points, 9.1 rebounds and 2.8 assists per.

During his nine seasons with the Bulls, Noah was a fan favorite who endeared himself to Chicagoans with his relentlessness and hard work. He is a two-time All-Star and the NBA Defensive Player of the Year in 2014. (HDS)
