The contract signing of OPBF light flyweight champion Juanito Rubillar for a title shot against IBF champion Ulises Solis on April 18 in Dubai on the undercard of the IBF flyweight title bout between Nonito ?The Filipino Flash? Donaire and Australia? Hussein Hussein will be featured on ?The Main Event? at 9:00 p.m. on Sunday over IBC 13.

The exclusive coverage of the contract signing witnessed by Games and Amusements Board Chairman Eric Buhain at which Rubillar?s manager Arlene Elorde and well-known promoter/boxing manager Sammy Gello-ani were present will precede the telecast of the ten round PBF minimum weight bout between Donnie Mabao and Rodel Tejares.

The Rubillar feature will also include an interview with Gello-ani who represented international matchmaker Samson Lewkowicz who made the title fight possible to the chagrin of the WBC which had mandated a title eliminator between Rubillar and former champion Omar Nino, Rubillar himself and GAB chairman Eric Buhain.

Aside from the upcoming title fight of Rubillar, Buhain also discussed the present status of IBF minimum weight champion Florante Condes and the troubles of Rodel Mayol.

?The Main Event?, the top-rated weekly boxing show is also replayed on the cable channel Viva Prime and Destiny Cable and is sponsored by Tanduay, the No. 1 Rhum.

On February 24, the WBO Asia Pacific Youth and WBO Oriental super bantamweight title fight between Ciso ?Kid Terrible? Morales and Indonesia?s tough and talented Marangin Marbun will be featured on ?The Main Event.? The telecast will provide fight fans a chance to assess the potential of Morales who will see action on the ?Unfinished Business? fight card headlined by the rematch between Filipino ring idol Manny Pacquiao and WBC super featherweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez.

In fact there were some who thought that Marbun did enough to win so fight fans will get a chance to decide for themselves.
