The Philippines Pingping Tepura was battered and eventually stopped in the second round in a Pan Asia Boxing Association flyweight title fight by champion Ratanapol Sor Vorapin, the 33 year old Thai veteran in Bangkok on Thursday night.

Tepura was dropped for the first time early in the second round when Ratanapol caught him with a hard left to the body. The aggressive Thai went after Tepura and dropped him with a right hook to the head and after the Filipino beat the count nailed him for the third and last time with a vicious shot to the body forcing the referee to call a halt to the massacre at 1:31 of the second round.

Ratanapol who is ranked No. 11 by the WBA improved to 53-61 with 42 knockouts while Tepura dropped to 13-11-5 with 5 knockouts.

In a supporting bout Jaime Barcelona lost a unanimous six round decision to Sirichai Ekchumpol who is undefeated in six fights with three knockouts.

Barcelona who has a record of 37 defeats against 30 wins and 1 draw with only 6 knockouts had lost his previous five fights last year raising questions on how the GAB boxing division approved the bout.
