Lebron James' Lakers blasted old buddy Carmelo Anthony's Blazers, 136-113 at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon Friday in front of Melo's new hometown crowd.

James and Anthony's friendship dates back to when they were teenagers in the 2001 Junior Olympics and then they were drafted #01 and #03 in the 2003 NBA Draft. This was the first time they have faced each other in over a year but after a friendly hug and hello, James was all business having a monster game with 31 points, 8 assists and 7 rebounds and showing his old friend and everyone watching why he's still the King.

Melo had his moments scoring 15 points, three rebounds and one assist in 35 minutes of play.

James however had a little help from new buddy Anthony Davis who was the clear star of the night. A.D. showed why the Lakers traded half their team for him by dominating down low and even hitting a highlight contested three completing the 4 point play. The Unibrow ended the night with a game high 39 points and 9 boards and is definitely in the conversation with Lebron as early season NBA MVP candidates.

The King and The Brow combined for 70 points and are the best dynamic duo of this new NBA and if they can stay healthy are clear favorites to finally bring another ring to their famed Lakers franchise.

Kuzma seems to be a decent number three option scoring 15 points and helped the Lakers improved to 20-3, going 3-0 on this road trip.

The Trailblazers did their best to make a game of it with Damian Lillard dropping 29 points with his backcourt buddy C.J. McCollum contributing 15 points as well but were clearly outshined by the other two Western Conference All-Stars from Los Angeles.

The Blazers were dealt a devastating blow that was worst than taking the L in the loss of their starting forward Rodney Hood with what turned out to be a torn left Achilles tendon.

Portland's coach Stotts was ejected for the first time ever after getting a double technical arguing a foul call with the referees as his team now falls to 9-14 in a loaded western conference with the future of this season looking dim.

It's the Lakers 11th straight road win and keeps them in 1st place in the Western Conference and now they head back home for a one game homestand versus the Timberwolves Sunday night, December 8th and then they go right back on another five game road trip.
