DAVAO CITY --- Undefeated Jenel "The Demolition Man" Lausa of Iloilo will take on Carlos Lopez of Indonesia for the Global Boxing Organization (GBO) Asia Pacific super featherweight title on Sept. 7 at the Rizal Park in Digos City.

The 31-year old Lausa (9W-0L-0D, 5KO) TKO'd Angelito "Matrix" Merin of Bukidnon in the 6th round last July 20, 2019 in Bacoor, Cavite.

He only had a split decision with Rolly "The Shocker" Llino of Surigao del Sur last Feb. 16 at EDSA Skydome in Quezon City.

Lopez, on the other hand, TKO'd Madit Sada in the 5th round last March 9 in Jakarta.

He won by a majority decision over Cirilo Espilo of Sarangani to win the interim World Boxing Organization Asia Pacific super featherweight title in 2012.

It is the main event of the "Sagupaan sa Araw ng Digos" boxing promotion. It is brought by the RED Boxing International with Chairman Rey Rodis. It is in coordination with PAGCOR and the city government of Digos. (Lito delos Reyes)
