DAVAO CITY -- A former Philippine champion is also complaining against match maker Roland Jerez for not giving him a visa in 2013.
Super welterweight Arnel Tinampay, a former Philippine champion of Bohol sold his land to pay Jerez P17,000 to get him a visa.
Tinampay even went to Manila for a visa interview. But they were disappointed to know that there was really no visa interview.
Tinampay had to borrow money from someone in order for him to pay Jerez.
In 2014, Tinampay met Jerez and confronted him. Jerez agreed to just pay him in three gives and even wrote a paper indicating that he owes him P17,000.
But until now in 2019, Jerez has not paid any centavo yet.
Tinampay is just one of the many people complaining of Jerez.
The latest to file a complaint is Ghana promoter Michael N.Y. Annan of Don's Promotions, who wants to get back the money he gave to Jerez in order to pay back boxer Eugene "Rambo" Lagos and match maker Brico Santig.
Annan said that Jerez should return P17,000 since he did not push through with boxer Marco Demecillo who was instead fought and defeated by a Russian boxer last Aug. 9. 2019. (Lito delos Reyes)
