DAVAO CITY --- Vincent "Asero" Astrolabio of Gen. Santos City will defend his World Boxing Organization Oriental bantamweight title for the first time against dangerous Kevin "The Bull" Aseniero of Zamboanga City on Aug. 24 at the San Andres Sports Complex in Malate, Manila.

The 22-year old Astrolabio (13W-3L-0D, 9KO) TKO'd previous undefeated Patrick Liukhoto of Indonesia in Kampus IBM ASMI in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Astrobio, however, lost to Zong Li He of China by a majority decision in the vacant WBO Asian Pacific Youth super flyweight title last Dec. 15 in Yubei, China.

Aseniero, on the other hand, TKO'd Kyota Otsuka of Japan in the 7th round in Bacoor, Cavite last July 20.

The 25-year old Aseriero (9W-2L-1D, 5KO) won a unanimous decision over Jamar Diama of Valenzuela for the LuzProba super flyweight title last Dec. 8.

He settled a split draw with Ken Jordan of Gen. Santos City last May 23 in the Tv5 Studio, Novaliches.

The promoters are Sen Manny Pacquiao and Raides "Nonoy" Neri. (Lito delos Reyes)
