THURMAN AND HORN WANT TO REMATCH WITH PACQUIAO

Keith Thurman challenged the 40-year old Manny Pacquiao anew to a rematch after his split decision loss to the fighter-turned senator on July 20 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Filipino legend became the oldest welterweight to win a major title in boxing history.

Thurman was quoted by TMZ Sports, who thinks the judges erred in their decision and that the fight should have been declared a draw. "I'm ready for the rematch! ... I still think the fight was nothing more than a draw. I don't really think that he won the fight. ... Where's the contract, Pac?! Sign the contract! Rematch!" exclaimed Thurman.

Thurman tasted his first career defeat and lost his WBA super welterweight title to the then WBA regular welterweight champion Pacquiao. Two of the three judges Dave Moretti and Tim Cheatham awarded the Filipino icon the decision with 115-112 scorecards. The third judge Glen Feldman favored the American, 114-113.

The 30-year-old Thurman was still in good mood even if he suffered his first professional loss and he said he is not crying because he "got paid."

Thurman respected Pacquaio and was overawed by his ring superiority, but insisted that the judges erred on scoring the bout for the eight division world champion.

"One Time" Keith says boxing fans in the Philippines love him now because he gave their idol a "real championship fight" unlike Floyd Mayweather and Adrien Broner.

He thinks a Pacquiao rematch will earn a lucrative pay and expressed he's even willing to fly over to the Philippines to meet Manny in person so they can agree to a new fight contract.

Pacquiao does not intend to fight again this year to concentrate on his duties as a senator. But his long rest did not stop other fighters from calling him to a tussle.

Errol Spence Jr. has expressed his interest to fight Pacquiao next after his WBC and IBF championship unification with Shawn Porter in September. The possibility of a rematch with Floyd Mayweather Jr. has also hugged social media the past week.

Lately, Jeff Horn has joined the fight hullabalo with his trainer, Glen Rushton, calling for a rematch with Pacquiao.

Per FightHype, Rushton believed the Pacquiao that defeated Thurman was in better physical condition than the one who lost to Horn. The Aussie's camp is very willing to engage in a second fight if the Filipino's team would offer it.

Horn fights dirty against Pacquiao.

?If ever Manny Pacquiao wants that fight with Jeff Horn, I think it?s unfinished business, then we?re up for it, we would certainly do it again,? Rushton said. ?I believe the outcome will be the same but I think it?ll be an even better fight than the first one.?

A fight with Pacquiao certainly would still be a pay-per-view box office hit even at his age now. That's why several fighters would want to clash with him.

But Team Pacquiao is properly evaluating the remaining years and fights of the legendary boxer who is a sure Hall of Famer. They want to maximize his fight revenues at the same time protect the champ from threatening injuries.
