Miss Universe Catriona Gray raises the Philippine flag.

LAS VEGAS - Manny Pacquiao wasn?t the only shining star of his triumphant outing last Saturday at the MGM Grand.

Sharing the limelight with him is ?The Most Beautiful Woman in the World? - Catriona Elisa Gray.

The reigning Miss Universe confessed that she was apprehensive like the fourteen thousand plus who watched the tense bout between Pacquiao and Keith Thurman Jr.

?Oo, nervous ako. (Yes, I was nervous). she told Elton Lugay of Inquirer.net and this Philboxing writer after the fight.

?Even like the whole fight, it?s my first time ever watching Pacquiao live, that close pa. (and that close)?

Gray flew from New York to Sin City during the day of Pacquiao?s fight. She was accompanied by her manager Esther Swan. The 25 year old Filipina-Australian was with Pacquiao when he entered the arena and the ring. They were greeted with loud cheers by the predominantly pro-Pacquiao crowd in the venue.

She raised the Philippine flag during the singing of the National Anthem and after the exciting twelve-round fight.

?It was amazing, the energy in the stadium was amazing and to see him come out on top and make (the) Philippines proud once again. I?m so happy to have been here to witness it.?

Dressed in a beautiful red ensemble, Gray danced and proudly waved the flag during the anxious wait for the announcement of the winner. She raised the colors even higher when Pacquiao was declared the winner via Split Decision.

The people in the arena and netizens online admired her enthusiasm and her patriotic gesture in the event that was broadcasted all over the world.

?Yes, I?m always proud to raise the flag of the Philippines. ? she stated.
