
PEÑALOSA ABSORBS FIRST LOSS AGAINST DLAMINI IN JEDDAH

FILIPINO Dave ?The Hunter? Pe?alosa of Cebu tasted his first loss to Lerato ?Lights Out? Dlamini of South Africa by a unanimous decision at the King Abdulla Sports City in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia Friday, July 12.
It was the first loss by the 28-year old Pe?alosa after 15 wins with 11 knockouts.
Dlamini, who scored his 13th win against 1 loss, bagged the vacant World Boxing Council Silver featherweight title against Pe?alosa.
Dlamini earlier won the vacant WBC International featherweight title by beating compatriot Sydney Maluleka by split decision last April 8, 2018.
He also won by points Haidari Mchanio of Tanzania to win the vacant IBF Continental Africa featherweight title last Oct. 21.
Meanwhile, Amir ?King Khan? Khan of United Kingdom stopped Billy Din of Australia via a technical knockout in the 4th round to win the vacant WBC International welterweight title.
The 33-year old Khan improved his record to 34 wins with 21 knockouts against 5 losses.
Michell ?El Arsenal? Banquez of Venezuela beat Prince Patel of United Kingdom by a unanimous decision to win the vacant IBO World bantamweight title.
