Thorslund wins WBO World female super bantamweight title

ORTHODOX Dina Thorslund of Denmark retained her World Boxing Organization world female super bantamweight title by beating April Adams of Australia by a unanimous decision last June 22 at the Forum in Horsens, Denmark.

It was the second title fight by the 25-year old Thorslund, who earlier beat Germany?s Alesia Graf last Jan. 19, 2019 in Denmark.

Thorslund, who improved 14 wins with six knockouts, won the vacant WBO world super bantamweight title by defeating Jessica Arreguin Munos of Mexico by UD last Aug. 25, 2018.

The 31-year old Adams suffered her second loss against 11 wins with 4 knockouts and 1 draw.

Meanwhile, Haris Dzindo of Denmark scored his 11th straight victory by knocking out in the first round Istvan Zeller of Hungary to win the vacant Global Boxing Union Continental light heavyweight title.

The boxing event was promoted by Nisse Sauerland of SPAG. (Lito delos Reyes)
