DAVAO CITY ? The World Boxing Council is proud to be part of the Amir ?King Khan? Khan versus Neeraj ?Gangster? Goyat fight, which will take place on July 12 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The WBC has prepared a beautiful belt which will be presented as a commemorative trophy to the winner of this fight, as a sign of peace while developing boxing in the two great counties of Pakistan and India.

The 32-year old Khan (33W-5L-0D, 20KO) is representing Pakistan and the United Kingdom, while 27-year old Goyat (11W-3L-2D, 2KO) represents India.

Khan participated in the first ever BoxVal Program when he fought Saul Canelo Alvarez in a fight which was built as Fighting for Peace.

Canelo Alvarez, a Catholic, vs. Amir Khan, a Muslim entered into the ring with a message for peace and planted the Olive tree together during such event.

Khan met with Jose Sulaiman in Dallas, Texas on November 2010 and Amir shared his dream with the late President, which has always been to make a statement through boxing for peace in the world.Pope Francis entrusted the WBC to develop BoxVal (Boxing with Values), a program in which boxing is used throughout the world to teach values to trainers and boxers, as well as society at large with a wide diversity of activations.

Khan lost to Terence Crawford of USA by a TKO in the 6th round last April 20 in New York.

Goyat, on the other hand, won by a unanimous decision over Carlos Lopez Marmolejo last April 20. (Lito delos Reyes)
