Tapales wins by KO in 3rd round

DAVAO CITY ? Featherweight Marlon ?Marading Nightmare? Tapales of Lanao del Norte knockout Roberto Castaneda of Mexico in the 3rd round last June 1 (June 2 in Manila) in Soboba Casino in San Jacinto, California, USA.
It was 16th knockout in 33 wins against 2 loss by the 27-year old Tapales.
Castaneda suffered his 12th loss against 23 wins and 2 draws.
Tapales earlier TKO?d Shohei Omori of Japan in 11th round to win the vacant World Boxing Organization world bantamweight title last April 23, 2017 in Osaka.
Meanwhile, Jhack ?El Kapitan? Tepora of Cebu City remained undefeated by scoring a unanimous decision over Jose Luis ?Relampago? Gallegos in the undercard.
