
Gonzales to fight for WBC ABC super lightweight title on June 30 in Thailand

DAVAO CITY ? Roberto Gonzales, the ?Bad Boy from Batangas? will challenge Anvar Turapov of Uzbekistan on June 30 in Bone Night Club in Pattaya, Thailand.
The winner will become the World Boxing Council Asian Boxing Council super lightweight champion.
The 28-year old Gonzales (28W-5L-0D, 17KO) won by a unanimous decision against Iloilo?s Edsil Jungco last Oct. 27, 2018 in Bacoor, Cavite.
Gonzales, however was knockout by Ravshabek Umurzakov in the 2nd round last April 13, 2019 in Moldova.
The 25-year old Turapov (3W-1L-0D, 2KO) won by unanimous decision over Indonesia?s John Ruba last Nov. 23, 2018 in Singapore.
Turapov, who is based in Malaysia already, knockout Campee Phayom in the 3rd round last Oct. 21 in Malaysia.
The promoters are Alexander Shah, Joshua David Peatfield and Nazar Moroz of Evolution Fight Series. (Lito delos Reyes)
