'Too Sharp' Penalosa to fight Flores for vacant IBO World flyweight title Aug. 25

DAVAO CITY ? Carlo Caesar ?Too Sharp? Penalosa of Gingoog City will fight Maximino ?Max? Flores of Mexico on August 25 in Manila.
?The final venue has yet to be finalized? said promoter Gerry Penalosa of GerryPens Promotions.
Carlo Caesar Penalosa (14W-1L-0D, 7KO) has knockout Watana Phenbaan of Thailand in the 3rd round last Feb. 16, 2019 in SM City North EDSA Skydome, Quezon City.
The 25-year old Penalosa recently TKO?d Tanzania?s Jemsi Kibazange in the 3rd round on Sept. 30, 2018 in QC to win the vacant WBA Asia South flyweight title.
Penalosa scored a split decision to Cebu?s Salatiel Amit to win the vacant WBC Asian Boxing Council Silver flyweight title last Nov. 10, 2017.
Flores (24W-4L-1D, 17KO) TKO?d Jorge Miguel Hernandez in the 1st round last Nov. 10, 2018 in Mexico.
But the 28-year old Flores earlier lost to United Kingdom?s Andrew Selby by a unanimous decision last Oct. 7, 2017 in London. (Lito delos Reyes)
