Former WBA Super and IBF light-welterweight world champion Amir Khan picked Manny Pacquiao to prevail over Keith Thurman in their July 20 WBA welterweight unification fight.

?I think Manny Pacquiao v Keith Thurman is a good fight. For me, I just don?t feel Keith Thurman has got it in him anymore,? Khan was exclusively quoted by World Boxing News.

The British 2004 Athens Olympics silver medalist compared Thurman's last performance against Josesito Lopez to the victory of Manny Pacquiao over Adrien Broner.

?What would Manny Pacquiao have done to Josesito Lopez? I just think Keith doesn?t have it in him. I?m not sure what lifestyle he lives outside of the ring or whether being out of the ring so long has affected him," added Khan.

Khan knows Pacquiao very well and has a taste of his punches, both being sparring partners under Freddie Roach. ?It?s hard to say, but I just feel Manny would have too much for him. Pacquiao still seems young and strong, even though he?s 40."

He says Manny is an exciting fighter and very hard to beat. He was so impressed with how Manny dealt with Adrien Broner as he out-boxed him and made it look so easy.

Boxing buddies Manny Pacquiao (L) and Amir Khan in London.

?I swear Manny looks like a young fighter still. He also still fights like a young fighter. I think Keith Thurman is in for a lot of problems when they fight."

Khan didn?t think Thurman's power is going to make a big difference against Pacquiao. It won?t cause Manny any problems and it?s nothing he hasn?t seen before. " Manny has the speed and Keith is very one-paced. I think that will suit Manny Pacquiao.?

The Bolton-born boxer boldly predicted a Pacquiao win over the American champion. ?For me, I believe Manny will beat Thurman quite easily. It will be an easy fight for Pacquiao because he?s got so much speed and skill. Keith might punch hard, but Manny can too and he?ll cause a lot of problems.?

Khan would have wanted to battle Pacquiao, but the eight division world champion fought Adrien Broner instead and won by a unanimous decision last January 19. Khan faced Terence Crawford and lost by a 6th round TKO last April 20.
