Alvarado to make first title defense vs. Konishi on May 19 in Japan

FELIX ?El Gemelo? Alvarado of Nicaragua will make his title defense against Reiya Konishi of Japan on May 19 at the Portopia Hotel in Kobe, Hyogo, Japan.
The 30-year old Alvarado (34W-2L, 30KO) stopped Randy Petalcorin of the Philippines in the 7th round to win the vacant International Boxing Federation world light flyweight title last Oct. 29, 2018.
Konishi (17W-1L, 7KO) TKO?d Richard Rosales of the Philippines in the 8th round last Dec. 1, 2018 at Osaka to win the first title defense of WBO Asia Pacific light flyweight title.
The 25-year old Konishi first won the vacant WBO Asia Pacific light flyweight title by knocking out another Filipino Orlie Silvestre last July 13, 2018 in Kobe. (Lito delos Reyes)
