Jaro to challenge Kaikanha for WBC ABC bantamweight title May 18

DAVAO CITY ? Former WBC world flyweight champion Sonny Boy Jaro of the Philippines will challenge WBC Asian Boxing Council bantamweight champion Nawaphon Kaikana of Thailand on May 18, 2019 at Workpoint Studio in Bang Phun, Thailand.
The 37-year old Jaro (45W-14L-5D, 32KO) TKO?d Indonesian Boida Simanjuntak in the 5th round last March 8, 2019 at Angono, Rizal.

He won the WBC World flyweight title by a TKO in the 6th round over Pongsaklek Wonjongkam last March 2, 2012.

He won the vacant WBC International superflyweight title by beating Marjun Pantilgan at Makati City last Nov. 16, 2016.
The 27-year old Kaikana (44W-1L-1D, 34KO) beat Worawatchai Boonjan by UD last Dec. 18, 2018.

He won the vacant WBC ABC bantamweight title by beating Likit Chane last July 21, 2018.

He retained it by a TKO in the 4th round over Richard Claveras of the Philippines in Nov. 17, 2018 in Bang Phun. (Lito delos Reyes)
