DAVAO CITY -- Romero ?Ruthless? Duno (W19 KO15 L1 D0) will face former world title challenger Juan Antonio Rodriguez (W30 KO26 L7 D0) for the WBO NABO lightweight title on May 16 in Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in California, USA.

The 23-year old Duno last beat Kuldeep Dhanda via a 2nd round knockout in Feb. 9, 2019 at Pasay City. Duno is very excited about his upcoming fight.

?I am so honored to fight again the US. Thanks Golden Boy and Sanman for this chance. So far this is my biggest break and I will not miss this chance into getting that belt and pave the way for a world title soon," said Duno.

Rodriguez last fought and defeated Filipino star Mercito Gesta via ninth round TKO.

Looking at their resumes, both fighters are knockout artists which will make the match worth watching.

"I want to avenge the loss of my countryman Mercito Gesta. He is tough but so am I. May the best man win," said Duno.

For Sanman CFO Dexter Tan, this is a no pushover match or Duno. ?Rodriguez?s record is scary. He?s been knocking people out. But so is Duno, he is young and hungry. Both have power," said Tan.

This fight will catch the interest of true boxing fans. Duno has been training hard for this.," said Tan. (Lito delos Reyes)
