'PACLAND' ONE OF THE MOST SEARCHED TERMS IN GOOGLE IN 2007

'Pacland', which refers to the unofficial website of Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao, was among the most search keywords for 2007 in Google.com.ph, the Philippine version of the popular search engine, according to the 2007 Year-End Zeitgeist, a list of top keyword searches released by Google.

'pacland' ranked third among the most search terms in sports behind 'nba'(National Basketball Association) and 'pba' (Philippine Basketball Association). Other top keyword searches in sports are 'wwe', 'manny pacquiao', 'uaap', 'boxing', 'nike', 'espn' and 'ufc'.

Online since August, 2003, the Pacland website rose to prominence with the meteoric rise of Filipino boxing hero Manny Pacquiao, the personality to which the website has been created for.

Pacland and its sister website PhilBoxing.com, consistently ranked higher in online traffic according to Alexa.com, a website that tracks down online traffic on millions of websites accross the globe.

According to the latest Alexa rankings (Dec. 30, 2007), PhilBoxing.com is ranked 6,918th among the world's top websites and is neck and neck with boxing online database boxrec.com, ranked 6,815th, as the Internet's top boxing websites. Pacland (mannypacquiao.ph) is ranked 18,169th. Other top boxing websites are BoxingScene.com - 8,341, EastsideBoxing.com - 12,427, FightNews.com - 14,028, MaxBoxing.com - 24,597 and RingsideReport.com - 28,773.

Among all websites, Yahoo.com is ranked number 1, followed by Google.com - 2, Live.com - 3, YouTube.com - 4, and MSN.com - 5, as the world's top five websites.
