IBF FEELS BAD FOR CONDES

IBF Championship Committee chairman Lindsey Tucker says ?no one (except Condes) feels worse than the IBF over the plight of world minimum weight champion Florante Condes whose career has stagnated since he won the world title from Indonesia?s Muhammad Rachman last July 7 in Jakarta.

Tucker told Viva Sports/Manila Standard Today ?I hate to hear stories about people stealing from fighters and I hate to see a champion sitting for seven months and then we must tell him he has to do a mandatory.?

Condes revealed in an interview with Dennis Principe on his dzSR Sports Radio show ?Sports Chat? that he hadn?t received one centavo of the reported $10,000 signing bonus after he inked a contract with American manager Dante Ortiz.

A seemingly frustrated Tucker said ?I?ve got Bobby Bostick saying that Condes wants to fight in the Philippines and he will promote the fight vs Rachman on February 16, 2008 and I have Dante Ortiz (co-manager under a contract signed by Aljoe Jaro) saying Condes will fight Raul Garcia? on the same date in Mexico.

Tucker said the IBF is ?caught in the middle because we know that someone is lying because Condes cant be in two places at once? adding ?I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens. Everybody loses in this situation, especially Condes.?
