New York - Three months after the biggest victory of his career, Middleweight kingpin Saul ?Canelo? Alvarez (50-1-2, 35 KOs) moved up one weight class and successfully added another gem in his collection of world titles.
Alvarez easily stopped World Boxing Association regular champion, Michael ?Rocky? Fielding (27-1, 15 KOs) of Liverpool, England in three rounds at Madison Square Garden - The Mecca of Boxing to claim the title.
The uneven match despite Fielding?s height and natural weight advantage at Super Middleweight was clearly an effortless test for Alvarez who emerged victorious after his two tough fights with Gennady Golovkin.

Canelo Alvarez's crushing body shots doomed Rocky Fielding's chances to defend his WBA title Saturday night at the Madison Square Garden in New York.
Fielding was down once in the opener, courtesy of a savage left hook to the body by Alvarez. He survived the early knockdown only to fold again in the 2nd round from the same shot. Fielding again recovered and finished the round.
The third round was no different from the first two salvos, Alvarez looked at the Brit?s torso as a mouth-watering target for his favorite punch and it delivered the eventual stoppage with less than a minute remaining in the round.
This is the Mexican superstar?s debut for sports streaming network DAZN after a lengthy career from the now defunct HBO Boxing. Also, this was Alvarez? first fight at the acknowledged Mecca of Boxing -another first.
The fight despite it being a huge mismatch, was aimed to inaugurate Alvarez? huge signing with DAZN and highlight his future events with the network.
One of those events is a future unification match with International Boxing Federation (IBF) Middleweight champion, Daniel Jacobs who was present in the venue and who spoke with Alvarez in the ring after his victory. Jacobs is also signed with DAZN which will lessen any obstacle for the match.
