Finding nary a loophole in his physical condition, handlers of World Boxing Association welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao will be increasing the load of his training regimen starting on Monday in preparation for his title-defending fight with challenger Adrien Broner set early next year.

After only a week in training camp where the eight-division titlist had logged 23 rounds of working with the mitts, eight rounds with the heavy bag and the balls plus six hours of roadwork, chief trainer Buboy Fernandez and conditioning guru Justin Fortune announced to raise training frequency to include sparring.

Add playing his second passion basketball two-to-three times a day unstopped and Pacquiao, whose fight with the title-pretending American is set January 19 in Las Vegas, who?ll turn 40 years-old a fortnight from today, indeed, will have no problem lasting he remaining seven weeks of his fine-tuning program.

?Yeah, Manny was well advised on the increase on the load and he approved it,? Fernandez and Fortune chorused in separate interview on Sunday.

?Kondisyong-kondisyon na si Manny noong mag-start kami ng camp so, there really?s no problem as far as his lasting power and stamina is concerned, assistant trainers Nonoy Neri and over ?Haplas? Fenandez, chorused.

Besides sparring, which traditionally is inserted in the scheme after two or three weeks in the camp, plyometric exercises will also highlight Pacquiao?s training schedule starting this week aimed at providing the fighting senator the needed muscle explosion he needs.

Sparring will start at four rounds, which will be increased as the days go by up to 10 or 12 by end if this week, depending on how Manny will respond.

The plyometric process, according to Fortune, will see the Filipino fighter-turned lawmaker sprint, jump, skip and hop over the box hit by the big, heavy medicine ball which strength his body muscles.

Speedy and brainy Australian lightweight George Kambosos Jr., part of the successful training team that honed the champ up in his seventh round TKO of ormer Argentine 147-pound titleholder Lucas Matthysse last July, was again summoned to help the Filipino icon in his build up.

Kambosos was scheduled to fly in on Sunday to lead the sparring team, which also include Philippine middleweight belt-owner and welterweights Leonardo Doronio and Fil-Indonesian Sonny Katiangdagho.

Kambosos, who looks and fights like Matthysse provided the offensive quality the defending champion is expected to dish out, while Chavez the defensive clout.
