Golden State Warriors remain in turmoil

Despite Draymond Green?s insisting he and Golden State Warriors teammate Kevin Duran were moving on from their tiff, it seems all is not well with the latter. How much longer will this dysfunction continue?
Durant said on Tuesday that his recent altercation with Green will not impact his free agency decision this summer quickly adding though that does not mean all is well between them.
Some attested to Durant?s social media activity. Even after he, sort of, tried to downplay his beef with Green in an interview with Yahoo Sports, managed to create a buzz with a comment he ?liked? on Instagram Wednesday.
The comment speculated that Green could be traded when DeMarcus Cousins is declared healthy.
This is the same Durant who has created drama with his social media activity in the past although he could always claim his account was hacked or he accidentally hit the ?like? button, he owned up to sending a series of petty tweets about the Oklahoma City Thunder last year.
The drama between Durant and Green is real. Whether or not they can coexist going forward remains to be seen, but it sounds like Green got really personal with Durant when the two had their spat last week.
Since Durant is known for being pretty thin-skinned, it would not be a surprise if he wants Green traded and subtly indicated as much on social media.
The Warriors winning their third straight title, meanwhile, seems much less likely now than it did prior to the season. The Warriors appear mortal on the court, and off the court, there?s plenty to be concerned about even if Durant claimed the tiff with Green won?t impact his long-term decision-making.
The Warriors have so far lost four straight since the fiasco erupted with Durant unable carry the team by himself in the absence of Green, who joined Stephen Curry in the injury list after serving his one-game ban.
Both coach Steve Kerr and general manager Bob Myers believed that the chemistry of the entire team was at stake, The Athletic?s Tim Kawakami reported.
They wanted to make sure the situation didn?t develop into a series of ?personal grievances and lingering resentments,? Kawakami wrote.
Team management was upset at how the suspension of Green was viewed as the organization picking Durant over the former. While it?s easy to look at it that way, the decision to suspend Green had more to do with making sure the chemistry of the team would remain repairable.
If Durant leaves, the Warriors want it to be because it was his own choice and not because another player was barking at him.
