The Golden State Warriors? scoring machine Stephen Curry was named the NBA Western Conference Player of the week in week 2 of the young 2K19 season on Monday.

The award is the PoW honor this season for Curry for his accomplishments over the past seven days. It was his 13th career weekly recognition.

Milwaukee Bucks wingman Giannis Antetokounmpo, on the other hand, has been named the Eastern Conference PoW.

That was the fourth time in Antetokounmpo?s career he?s been conferred such honor.

Against the Warriors' four opponents -- Phoenix, Washington, New York and Brooklyn -- Curry averaged 36 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.0 assists. The Warriors went 4-0 in those games.

Against the Wizards, Curry scored a season-high 51 points and made 11 3-pointers.

Curry continued his assault on the 3-point record book. During the four games last week, he scored 30 points and made at least five 3-pointers for a new NBA record seven straight games.

Entering Monday's game in Chicago, Curry is leading the league by averaging 33.9 points per game.

Antetokounmpo, for his part, averaged 24.8 points, 13.0 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 2.0 blocks in four games that week while leading the Bucks to a perfect 4-0 record.

In the Bucks win over the 76ers on Wednesday, Antetokounmpo tallied his 10th career triple-double, recording season-highs in both points (32) and assists (10) while tying his season-high of 18 rebounds.

The Greek pro also had 31 points and 15 rebounds in Monday?s win over the Knicks to make him the first player since Wilt Chamberlain in 1965 to begin a season with four straight games of 25+ points and 15+ rebounds.

In six games this season Antetokounmpo is averaging 25.0 points, 14.2 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 1.7 blocks per game to help the Bucks to their second 6-0 start in team history and first since 1971.
