Martin vs Lumoly for WBA Asia. Undefeated hard-hitting Filipino Carl Jammes Martin (8-0, 7 KO's) is set to trade fire against tough Indonesian warrior George "Coken" Lumoly (10-4-1, 8 KO's) for the vacant WBA Asia Bantamweight strap Thursday June 21 at Don Bosco Gym in the Municipality of Lagawe in Ifugao, Philippines.
Carl Jammes Martin, the 19 year-old Filipino "Wonder Boy," comes from badly punishing and stopping Tanzanian Hashimu Zuberi (14-3, 4 KO's) in a fast round two TKO win last April at LCS Gym in Lagawe.
Meanwhile, his opponent George Lumoly, 26, scored a round 3 knockout victory over fellow Indonesian Dion Rote last month at Markas Cafe in Jakarta in a fight sanctioned by the IPBC/KTPI Indonesian Professional Boxing Commission.
Their 12-rounder battle Martin vs Lumoly is crucial moment-of-the-truth for both fighters as the rightful winner gets into the WBA 118-lbs world-rankings, and from there on the sky is the limit.
In the co-main event, unbeaten 17 year-old John Jashim Magagmoc of the Ifugao Boxing Gym will square off undefeated southpaw Enrique Magsalin, 23, of the Alliance Boxing Stable in Pasay City for the vacant Philippines Luzon Professional Boxing Association (LUZPROBA) Flyweight Belt.
Five more exciting bouts complete the afternoon of boxing labeled as "Battle of the Fist" at Lagawe, Ifugao, Philippines.
"Battle of the Fist" is a production of promoter Ramon C Yogyog. Matchmaker Art Monis of Hardstone Boxing.
Fights start at 1 PM.
