Dagayloan to Russia. Filipino flyweight Alphoe Dagayloan (L) of the Quibors Boxing Stable will engage in the most important battle of his boxing career when he climbs the ring to exchange leather against unbeaten Kazakh fighter Madiyar Zhanuzak on July 8 in the historic City of Yekaterinburg, one of Russia's host cities of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

The 26 year-old Dagayloan -- who hails from Dipolog in Zamboanga del Norte -- will fly to Russia for the important fight together with his head coach Narciso "Jun" Labandia (whose birthday is today, happy birthday coach Labandia), and his manager Joseph Quibral, director of Quibors Boxing Gym of Bacoor, Cavite.

"We already signed contract to fight the Kazakh flyweight boxer and our Russian visa is being processed. So, we have being studying our opponent Madiyar Zhanuzak, analyzing videos of his fights.

"Right now we have been getting ready to fight the Kazakh boxer. Coach Labandia has been preparing Dagayloan for the 10-rounder, and we are gunning for victory," said the confident manager Joseph Quibral, a man of boxing who produces fight cards in Cavite (his next one June 23), but also promotes his boxers abroad.

In his last fight last March, the Pinoy Dagayloan (9-2-5, 3 KO's) captured the Philippines Boxing Federation (PBF) Super Flyweight belt by scoring a round 7 Technical Decision win over unheralded Sarangani fighter Jayar "Dominator" Diama at Sablayan Plaza in Mindoro Occidental. Dagayloan's coming fight against the Kazakh boxer in Russia might be by far more demanding.

Meanwhile, the 23 year-old Kazakh Madiyar Zhanuzak (4-0, 1 KO) of Astana, Kazakhstan, comes from a 10-round unanimous decision win over Filipino John Mark Alimane (5-1, 3 KO's) last February in Macau; and the Kazakh sees the Filipino Dagayloan as a stepping stone for more challenging fights.

So the questions are: will the Filipino Dagayloan from the Quibors Boxing Gym defeat Zhanuzak for a rewarding victory July 8 in Russia? Or will the Kazakh Zhanuzak score his second consecutive win over a Pinoy fighter?

The Dagayloan vs Zhanuzak non-title flyweight rumble is a production of RCC Boxing Promotions of Yekaterinburg promoter German Titov. The 10-rounder is a supporting bout. The main event of the evening will be a WBO Inter-continental clash; and May the Best Man Win.
