MAASIN CITY, Southern Leyte -- The heat is on for Pinoy Pride 44 as fighters went through the required weigh-in procedures ahead of their respective battles Saturday night here in the charming, friendly City of Maasin in Southern Leyte.
In the main event, "Prince" Albert Pagara scaled-in at 122 lbs while Ghana warrior Laryea Gabriel Odoi made120 lbs., for the rumble for the vacant WBO Inter-continental Super Bantamweight crown. Third man for the match is Atty Danrex Tapdasan of Manila, and ringside judges are Edward Ligas, Romar Kristoffer Embodo and Edgar Olalo.
For the co-main feature, promising Jeo 'Santino' Santisima did 121 lbs for 120 lbs of his opponent Likit Chane of Thailand. Their 12-rounder clash is is for the vacant Oriental Super Bantamweight belt. The referee will be Tony Pesons. judges Arnel Pasion, Danrex Tapdasan and Romar Kristoffer Embodo of Cebu.
The supervisor for the WBO title fights is is Leon Panoncillo, WBO vice president of Asia-Pacific.

In a 10-rounder, former world-ranked Jason Pagara weighed-in at a whooping 159 lbs., while opponent Wellem Reyk of Indonesia made 147 lbs. The contracted weight was 147 pounds. As a result, Jason Pagara has been ordered by the GAB to wear 12 oz. gloves tonight.

In addition, bantamweight "King" Arthur Villanueva scaled-in at 120 lbs., as fellow Filipino opponent Renren Tesorio came-in three pounds lighter at 117 lbs.
Also, Melvin Jerusalem made 109 lbs while Philip Luis Cuerdo recorded 110 lbs. for their 10-rounder.

For their exciting 6-rounder, debutant Filipino-Japanese Go Hosaka and his opponent Holly Quinones both made identical 135 lbs.
In super flyweights, Joyjoy Formentera made 116 lbs and Lobert Bayo 119 lbs for their action-packed 6-rounder.

And in the first clash of the thrilling evening of boxing, unbeaten Jeno Macapobre made 112 lbs as Carlito Antaran recorded 115 lbs for their four-rounder, likely to end by knock out.
