Albert Pagara's opponent Laryea Gabriel Odoi and Jason Pagara's foe Wellem Reyk arrived in Maasin City via separate flights from Manila to Tacloban City airport. They were fetched from their arrival to Maasin City yesterday. Jeo Santisima's foe Likit Chane is scheduled to arrive today.
Odoi and Reyk were accompanied by their respective trainers. They had their radio guesting with Councilor Zaldy Olita at DYDM-AM and DYAS-FM this morning. Then they paid a courtesy call with this writer afterwards.
They will have their first workout this afternoon at the Maasin City Gym. Tomorrow will be the motorcade of the three foreign boxers in the city streets.
The 27-year-old Odoi (20-3-2, 14 KOs) lost his first two pro fights to compatriors Isaac Nettey and Isaac Owusu. He also lost to Martin Ward of Britain in 2013 for the Commonwealth British Empire bantamweight title in a match held in Newcastle, UK by unanimous decision, his only fight outside of his country Ghana.
The Accra native however is on a four-fight winning streak, with all but one coming via TKO.
Reyk, the 32-year-old fighter from Bogor, Indonesia has fought the likes of former world title fight contenders Filipino Jimrex Jaca, Japan's Zaiki Akimoto and Thailand's Tewa Kiram.
Jeffry Arienza defeated Reyk by technical knockout in the fifth round to seize the vacant WBC Asian Boxing Council (ABCO) welterweight title in 2016 in the Mall of Asia.
Both fighters promised to put up a good fight against the Pagara brothers.
