Gabutan, Tejones Make Weight for Regional WBC Belts Wednesday in Xi'an, China (WEIGH-IN PHOTOS)

Filipinos Diarh "Die Hard" Gabutan and Joe Tejones successfully made weight today Tuesday ahead of their respective wars for WBC belts tomorrow Wednesday (May 16) in the historic "western peace" City of Xi'an, ancient capital of the Kingdom of China.

Gabutan (20-6-3, 11 KO's) of Salcedo, Ilocos Sur in the Philippines, scaled-in at 114 lbs., while his opponent undefeated 23 year-old Chinese warrior 何宗礼 Zong Li He of Chengdu tipped the scales at 113 lbs., in a rough encounter for the vacant WBC Asian Boxing Council Silver Super Flyweight belt.

The Pinoy Gabutan is promoted by the current WBC Oriental Promoter of the Year Brico Santig of MP-Highland Boxing while the Chinese Zong Li He is handled by Wang Fei of Xi'an Topking Promotions.

In another exciting clash of civilizations, Filipino Joe Tejones (10-5, 6 KO's) of Valencia City in Bukidnon, made 125.6 lbs., as his Wednesday foe Yiran Li tipped the scales exactly at the limit of the featherweight division for their skirmish for the WBC Youth World 126 lbs belt.

The unbeaten, hard-hitting Yiran Li (4-0, 4 KO's) is a Topking boxer while Joe Tejones is a fighter of the Wowie Lalanto Boxing Stable in the city of Golden Friendship, Cagayan de Oro, in northern Mindanao, Philippines. Both fighters are 21 years of age.

Also, undefeated, tough-swinging Indonesian Ari Agustian (5-0, 5 KO's) will clash hard against local Xi'an boxer Baolin Kang (4-0, 0 KO's). The Indonesian is 22 year-of-age while the Chinese is 20. Their 10-rounder is for the vacant WBC Asian Boxing Council Youth Featherweight title.

Moreoever, in women's boxing, Korean fight girl Hyun Hee Kil, 28, will battle local Xi'an warrior lady Li Ping Shi, 20, for the vacant WBC Asian Boxing Council Female 112 lbs. crown. The cute fighting girls will trade blows for 10 rounds.

The WBC supervisor for the four WBC title fights is Tsuyoshi Yasukochi, Secretary General of the Japan Boxing Commission (JBC).

Six more non-title fights complete the boxing card tomorrow Wednesday in Xi'an China. Xi'an is the ancestral place where the First Emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang ordered the construction of his Terracotta Army right after his ascension to the throne.

The evening of boxing in Xi'an is an production of promoter Fei Wang of Xian Topking Promotion. The card will be televised in China on cable TV with delayed telecast.
