Filipino boxers Eduardo Apa-ap and Armando Casa have been beaten by South Korean opponents in Pan Asian Boxing Association title fights in Goyang City, one of the largest satellite cities around the capital Seoul.

Apa-ap was knocked out at 2:46 of the third round in a PABA featherweight title fight by Korean champion Ji Hoon Kim. Kim won the interim title with a split decision over Filipino Mark Sales on October 29, 2006 and then won the title with a sixth round knockout of Jae Kwang Jun last July 1.

The 20 year old Kim improved his record to 13-5 with 10 knockouts while Apa-ap dropped to 6-5 with 1 knockout. It appeared strange that Apa-ap who suffered a second round TKO in an Asia Pacific bantamweight title fight against Thailand?s Sod Looknongyangtoy last July 13 was given a crack at a PABA title in a higher weight division in his next fight.

In a PABA interim flyweight title bout Filipino Armando Casa lost a twelve round split decision to Korea?s Jin Ki Jung, a seventeen year old with a record of 5-3 with 0 knockouts. Casa whose record dropped to 6-5-1 with 2 knockouts was coming off an April 21 split decision loss to Richard Olisa.
