CHICAGO -- At 33 years and 91 days old LeBron James is supposed to be slowing down, what with the miles he has put on those knees since turning pro straight out of high school in 2003.

But the man they call The King just continues to amaze, playing the best basketball in his season in the NBA. On Friday night at the Quicken loans arena, LeBron reached another milestone as he scored in double figures for the 867th consecutive game, breaking the record previously owned by Chicago Bulls icon Michael Jordan, also known as the GOAT -- greatest of all time.

James finished with 27 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists as the Cleveland Cavaliers handed the New Orleans Pelicans a 107-102 loss. The win improved Cleveland's record to 4036, third best in the Eastern Conference. The loss, meanwhile, dropped the Pelicans to 8th in the Western Conference with a 43-33 record.

Through 76 games this season, James is almost averaging a triple-double with 27.6 points, 8.6 rebounds and 9.1 assists per outing. With the Cavaliers saddled with injuries and dealing with players changes during the trade deadline, he is needed even more on both ends of the floor, logging in 37.1 minutes an outing.
