BAGO CITY, Negros Occidental (Feb. 4) ? Cebu City added two more wins while Cadiz and Victorias City also both scored two victories today in the final day of the Visayas Preliminaries in the PSC-Pacquiao Amateur Boxing Cup at the Manuel Y. Torres Memorial Sports Center here.

John Paul Gabunelas won by a split decision over Bayawan City?s Rudni Camani in the Youth Boys Light Flyweight (46-49 kg.) division. His teammate Limbert Cainap also won for the Cebuanos via a convincing unanimous decision against Elmar Douma of Don Salvador Benedicto in the Youth Boys Flyweight (52 kg.) category.

Mentored by former national team member Reynaldo Balboa, Victorias got its two victories from the Youth Boys courtesy of flyweight Geniel Alit (52 kg.) and bantamweight Herlan Gomez (56 kg.).

Alit stopped Maasin?s Steven Jasper Canon by a referee-stopped-contest in 1:05 of the second round, while Gomez pummeled to submission Bayawan?s Charly Sumugat via RSC in 2:58 of Round 3.

Cadiz earned RSC wins from Michael Adolfo and Mark Alob, who won against Sipalay?s Rolyn Agravante (1:04 in Round 3) and Darwin Enterado (2:59 in Round 2), respectively.

However, it was the only victories for both Cadiz and Victorias in the two-day event sponsored by the Philippine Sports Commission in coordination with the Office of Sen. Manny Pacquiao.
