
Executive champs to compete in Alphaland chess tilt

TOP executive and professional chess players led by Dr. Jenny Mayor have already confirmed their participation in the 2018 Alphaland National Executive Chess Championships on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the Activity Hall of Alphaland Makati Place, Ayala Avenue in Makati City.
Mayor, who has been inactive since winning the Philippines Executive Chess championships seven times, made himself available for the tournament.
"Matagal-tagal na din tayo hindi nakapaglalaro ng chess dahil busy ako sa family business sa Romblon at sa Quiapo,? said Mayor, who is a dentist by profession.
Joining Mayor are Dr. Alfred Paez, Dr. Angelo Subida, Atty. Rodrigo Artuz , IT Manager Edwin Sison of Vital C Health Products, Inc., Dioniver Medrano of SSS, Sales Director Samivin V. Delos Santos of SM Development Corporation , Jason Rojo and Joselito Asi of DepEd, Laurence "Larry" Dumadag of Unesco, Makati Hope Christian School head chess coach Marguel Soria, businessmen Noel Garcia, Jun Rivera, Lester Bacay, Niel Dumlao, Emil Colindres, Jun Rivera and Joselito Cada.
"The competition is open to company executives, career officers, businessmen and professionals," said Philippine Executive Chess Association (PECA) founding president Atty. Cliburn Anthony A. Orbe.
The event is sanctioned by the National Chess Federation of the Philippines (NCFP) and tie up with Kasparov Chess Foundation Asia Pacific.
