2026 Santa Maria Town Fiesta Chess Challenge on January 26

The 2026 Santa Maria Town Fiesta Chess Challenge will kick off on January 25, 2026, to be held at the Immaculate Conception Academy Gymnasium, Sta. Maria, Bulacan.

A 15-minute plus 3-second increment time control format will be implemented, led by 2026 Sta. Maria Fiesta President Engr. Jovel Mendoza.

The champion in the 2250 and Below FIDE Rating category will receive ₱12,000 plus a trophy and medal. The runner-up will take home ₱6,000 plus a trophy and medal, while the third placer will get ₱3,000 plus a trophy and medal.

The 4th and 5th placers will receive ₱2,000 and ₱1,500 respectively, plus medals. The 6th to 8th placers will each get ₱1,000 plus medals, while the 9th to 10th placers will each receive ₱500 plus medals. There is ₱1,000 each for the top Bulacan resident, top Sta. Maria resident, and top IIEE player.

₱500 each is allocated for the top female player, top junior player, and top senior player.

In the Non-Master Under 17 category, the champion will receive ₱5,000 plus a trophy, medal, and certificate. The 2nd to 3rd placers will get ₱2,500 and ₱1,500 respectively, plus a trophy, medal, and certificate. The 4th to 5th placers will receive ₱1,000 and ₱500 respectively, plus a medal and certificate.

The 6th to 8th placers will each get ₱500 plus a medal and certificate, while the 9th to 10th placers will each receive ₱400 plus a medal and certificate.

For the Non-Master Under 17 category, ₱400 is set aside for the top Sta. Maria resident and ₱500 for the top Bulacan resident.
