
TOLENTINO, DI?O THROW FULL SUPPORT TO PHL CHESS WIZARD AL BASHER 'BASTY" BUTO

EIGHT year old Philippine chess wizard Al Basher "Basty" Jumangit-Buto from Maranaw tribe and native of Marawi City got the needed support from World Chess Federation (FIDE) secretary-general 7th district Cavite rep. Abraham "Bambol" Tolentino and newly-installed Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) undersecretary Martin Di?o.
Rep. Tolentino has long been a staunch supporter of Philippine sports particularly in chess and cycling. In fact Tolentino is the main supporter of World No.6 Super Grandmaster Wesley So, a top contender in the World Chess Championships, who hails from Bacoor, Cavite.
Rep. Tolentino, the incumbent secretary-general of the National Chess Federation of the Philippines (NCFP) and the president of PhilCycling will grant the christmas wish of Buto, fondly called "Basty" in the chess world.
The grade 2 student of Faith Christian School in Cainta, Rizal who have a christmas wish, a laptop during the interview of Manolo "Chino" Trinidad of GMA7 last month.
"Nagpapasalamat kami kay World Chess Federation (FIDE) secretary-general 7th district Cavite rep. Abraham "Bambol" Tolentino at newly-installed Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) undersecretary Martin Di?o na tutulong sa kampanya ng anak kong si Al Basher "Basty" Jumangit-Buto na matupad ang aming pangarap na makuha ang pinakabatang grandmaster sa bansa." said Bong Buto, father of Basty, a Maranaw tribe and native of Marawi City.
"Malaking tulong po ang laptop na mabibigay ni Rep. Tolentino." added the older Buto.
On Friday, the father and Son, Bong and Al Basher "Basty" Jumangit-Buto are both scheduled to meet Rep. Tolentino, as the good leader of 7th district Cavite will handed over the laptop to Philippine chess kiddies champion Buto.
The young Buto will spearhead the Rizal Province in the upcoming 2018 Southern Tagalog Calabarzon Athletic Association (STCAA) Meet on Feb. 11-17 in San Pablo, Laguna.
"Maraming salamat po kina Rep. Tolentino at DILG Usec Di?o." said the soft-spoken Basty.
