Mexico's Israel Gonzalez is training very hard to prepare himself to grab the most important triumph of his career when he challenges Jerwin Ancajas for the International Boxing Federation (IBF).super flyweight title on February 3, in Corpus Christi, Texas. Gonzalez is backed up by a lot of supporters hoping to return to Mexico with the world title belt.

Gonzalez is training at the high altitude camp in Jiquipilco, Mexico, near the Otomi Ceremonial Center, to hone his body to the finest physical shape possible. "My dream is to become the first world champion of Cabo San Lucas. I'm ready to shine ... it's my time and I'm not going to waste it," said Gonzalez. Ancajas is a heavy favorite to win against Gonzalez, who is trained by Adalberto "Condor" Sanchez, who promised that Gonzalez will be very well prepared to get the victory.

"The commitment that Israel has will not be easy, because he will go against a complicated and left-handed opponent. Two years ago I had the opportunity to see Jerwin fight in Macao and since then I have followed him closely and I see some very good possibilities to beat him. The dedication and discipline of Israel Gonzalez will be the key to success," said Sanchez.

Isaac Dogboe beat Cesar Juarez to win the interim WBO World super bantamweight belt by stopping the Mexican in round five on Saturday night at the Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra, Ghana. The place was full-packed by the crowd at the 4000-seater coliseum as the fans came to cheer Dogboe. The African warrior immediately got into action in the first round and landed his blows on Juarez?s body as the Mexican kept his composure.

In the second round the 23 year-old Dogboe went all-out on Juarez and he sent the WBO No. 2 to the canvas with a devastating left hook, but resilient as he is, the Mexican got up to beat the referee?s count. Juarez heated up worked intensely to connect his punches in the third round but Dogboe landed the stronger slugs. The Mexican bombarded the Ghanaian in round four with flurries firing from all over but Dogboe withstood all the bombs and he countered with his powerful jabs and sturdy defense.

In the fifth round, Dogboe penetrated with his brisk body blows on Juarez as the Mexican never backed out and went on attacking ferociously. Dogboe blew Juarez as he collapsed to the floor for the second time. "Corazon" appeared hurt and referee Tony Weeks, to prevent further punishment, waved to stop the fight. With the convincing win, Dogboe was the first fighter to knock Juarez out.

Carl Frampton will fight former four-weight world champion Nonito Donaire at the SSE Arena in Belfast on April 21. Promoter Frank Warren had originally announced that the fight would happen on April 7 but the Belfast venue has confirmed the later date. The 35-year-old Filipino Flash is expected to be a strong opponent for Frampton, because Donaire was world champion seven times in a career that spanned 17 years.

Frampton won on points in his comeback fight with Horacio Garcia. The Northern Irishman battled with the Mexican on November 18 after being inactive for 10 months. The former two-weight world champion lost his WBA world title to Leo Santa Cruz in Las Vegas last January. Frampton separated with Barry McGuigan's Cyclone Promotions management company.

With IBF featherweight Lee Selby schedulef to defend his title against Josh Warrington, another win would give Frampton with the great chance to make himself available for a title shot against the winner of that match. Should Frampton win convincingly, a summer fight at Windsor Park could be promoted.

Mount Everest is the world's highest mountain above sea level with the official height of 8,848 m (29,029 ft). In 1865, it was given its official English name after the British Surveyor General of India Sir George Everest. George Mallory and Andrew Irvine made an attempt to the top on June 8, 1924 but never returned, causing controversy as to whether or not they were the first to reach the summit. They were seen on the mountain that day but disappeared in the clouds, but were not seen again, until Mallory's body was found in 1999 at 8,155 m (26,755 ft) on the north face. Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hillary made the first official ascent to the summit of Everest in 1953, using the southeast ridge route.
