WBC heavyweight title holder Deontay Wilder called out WBA, IBO and IBF champion Anthony Joshua after his first-round demolition of Bermane Stiverne last Saturday, but the popular British believes Wilder has not shown a serious interest in fighting him. Joshua disclosed that he and Eddie Hearn had a meeting and Wilder asked "are there any offers that have come your way?" Joshua told iFL TV that the American seems to say that he is ducking Wilder and the WBC titlist appears to be interested in fighting him.

Joshua said they did not hear the Wilder team say "we've got this venue free on this day, we've this broadcaster and that broadcaster interested in taking the fight and these are the terms and conditions of the fight." So, he thinks there's an interest but it's not serious. Joshua added Hearn is going to America for the Danny Jacobs fight, and he's contacting the champions that are interested in fighting. Hearn is planning a Joshua fight with Wilder, but added that a dialogue with WBO champion Joseph Parker has begun.

Wilder believes that he can demolish Joshua like Bermane Stiverne. "Styles make fights," Wilder said to Sky Sports. "I knew the Wladimir Klitschko-Joshua fight would be a great fight. My style and Joshua's style do not mix. My style is perfectly made for Joshua's style. I am the paper over his rock. I am the scissors over his paper. Don't be surprised if it is a simulation of my performance when I demolished Bermane Stiverne in the first round. The style I bring to Joshua, you guys may not have seen before."

Carlo Ceasar Pe?alosa (9-1-0, 3 KOs) and Salatiel Amit (10-3-2, 7 KOs) will vie for the vacant World Boxing Council (WBC) Asian Boxing Council (ABC) silver flyweight title today in the main event of the featured fights of the Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation (OPBF) Convention in Palawan. Amit said he won't commit the same mistake when he lost by TKO in the ninth round to world contender Froilan Saludar. Amit accepted he did everything he could do against Saludar but Froilan was just superior.

?I learned not to get carried away with my emotions. I must be focused on our game plan. In my fight with Saludar, I got carried away by my anger and I didn?t listen to my corner,? Amit was quoted by SunStar Cebu. He was born in Naval, Biliran, but now he fights out of the Omega Boxing Gym. Amit lost two of his last three fights, winning against Renerio Arizala and losing to Saludar and Jonathan Taconing. Pe?alosa is the nephew of both two-division world champions Gerry and Dodie Boy Pe?alosa.

Pe?alosa is from Gingoog City, Misamis Oriental. Pe?alosa's only loss was handed to him by Reymark Taday of Cotabato City via a six-round split decision. Carlo Caesar is trained by his uncle former two-division world champion Gerry who also supervises Dodie Boy, Jr. and Dave Pe?alosa who are now international campaigners. In his latest fight, Carlo Caesar won by 3rd round TKO against Vincent Bautista of Tagbilaran City, Bohol.

Bob Arum says UFC president Dana White keeps discussing his planned investment in boxing because the MMA business is on a decline. The 85-year-old boxing promoter believes White wants to engage in boxing because financially the rival combat sports is not working well. The UFC is no longer what it once was, according to Arum, and promoting boxing matches is White?s means of exploring another revenue source for the company, which was purchased for $4 billion in a deal announced in July.

?It?s something that I think they?ll really do because the MMA business is falling apart,? Arum told BoxingScene. ?Their pay-per-view numbers are in the toilet and they?re giving away tickets. The fight in The Garden Saturday night didn?t sell tickets...One of the reasons probably is they lost all their marquee guys and it looks like the same old, same old. It doesn?t have the buzz and it doesn?t have the interest that it had. And so Dana is looking maybe to change the equation by going and doing some boxing.?

Arum and White has been on a long verbal tussle and Arum divulged that a known UFC personality arrived at Arum?s office in Las Vegas last year and made an offer for UFC to buy Top Rank Inc. ?A while ago, someone representing the UFC came to my office, looking to buy Top Rank," said Arum. "They figured we would put boxing on under their umbrella. But at that point, we were working hard to do our deal with ESPN, and we certainly weren?t interested in selling the company.?

Mike Tyson the first heavyweight boxer to simultaneously hold the WBA, WBC and IBF titles, and the only heavyweight to successively unify them. The Ring magazine later recognized him as champion. He lost the undisputed championship to Buster Douglas in Tokyo by a 10th round knockout. Tyson was a 42/1 betting favorite. The knockout victory by Douglas over Tyson has been described as one of the most shocking upsets in modern sports history.
