ILIGAN CITY (Oct. 14) -- Everything is now set for the exciting "Fist of Fury 2" as all boxers made their weight today in the official weigh-in held at the Public Plaza here.

Unbeaten Samuel ?Silent Assassin? Salva and Marco John Rementizo both tipped the scales at 122 lbs. for their much-awaited championship fight for the vacant Mindanao Professional Boxing Association (MinProBA) minimumweight title tomorrow (Oct. 15) at the Robinson?s Place here.

Salva (10-0, 6 KOs) and Rementizo (3-0, 2 KOs) both tipped the scales with identical 105 lbs. at the Iligan City Public Plaza.

?Pareho silang magaling pero lamang si Salva sa experience,? (Both of them are good but Salva has an edge on experience) said Arnold Palafox, head coach of RCJ Stable.

Both Salva and Rementizo are former members of the Team Cagayan de Oro amateur boxing team. Salva is now under the RCJ Stable of Raffy Jimenez while Rementizo is handled by Wowie Llanto of Bukidnon.

?Kaya ko siyang tumbahon kay OK kaayo ang akong condition. Pero dili lang ko makumpiyensa,? (I can put him down because my condition is OK. But I won?t get complacent) said Salva after the weigh-in.

Rementizo, on the other hand, said: ?Fighter siya pero kaya nako siya pildehon.? (He?s a fighter but I can beat him.)

The fight is one of the three championships promoted by lady boxing promoter Clarrisa Pacana-Jimenez for the ?Fist of Fury 2? boxing card.

The other title fights are for the vacant Philippine Boxing Federation (PBF) light flyweight between Gerald ?The Predator? Paclar (10-4-2, 5KOs) of Iligan and Mike Kinaadman (6-3-2, 4 KOs) f Lugait, Misamis Oriental and the Philippine female bantamweight title match of Kim ?Bonecrusher? Actub (5-8-1, 4 KOs) of Iligan and Joan Ambalong (6-6-1, 3KOs) of Zamboanga City.

Paclar and Kinaadman both submitted 108 lbs. while arch rivals Actub and Ambalong both scaled at similar 122 lbs.

?Kusgan mana si Joan. Pero mas taas ang akong preparasyon karon,? (Joan is strong. But I have a longer preparation now), said Actub.

RCJ trainer Ronaldo Rosales said Actub has sparred for a total of 60 rounds against her male stablemates.

?Mas preparado siya karon kay since March pa me nag training (She?s more prepared now because she?s been training since March), said Rosales.

Ambalong, on the other hand, is also confident that she can beat again Actub In their 6-rounder fight tomorrow. It will be their fight encounter of a grudge match.

Ambalong, however, was stopped by Actub by a technical knockout in the second round during their previous meeting last December 20 in Dipolog City.

Actub won their first duel by a UD on April 8, 2014. Their first rematch, however, ended up in a technical draw on August 6, 2014 in Iligan.

Ambalong finally got even with Actub in their third fight by winning via a 3rd round technical knockout on Nov. 22, 2015 also in Iligan.

?Tama lang ang training ko ngayon kahit nahahati yun oras ko dahil hinahanda ko rin ang sarili ko sa board exam,? said the criminology graduate Ambalong, who turns 24 on Oct. 25.

?Gusto ko rin kasing maging pulis,? said Ambalong, a native of Zamboanga del Norte.
