MP Highland Promotions: Nakamura vs Raknafa for ABF Title Sunday in Bangkok

Tough boxers from five different Asian nations will meet at Ram 100 Stadium in Bangkok, Kingdom of Thailand, willing to thrill fight fans in "Battle of Champions," the newest MP Highland Boxing Promotion of award-winning Filipino promoter Brico Santig.

The headliner will feature Japanese bantamweight Yuya Nakamura of Osaka in a battle against more experienced Indonesian Oscar Raknafa, 26, for the ABF (Asian Boxing Federation) Bantamweight title. Both men were successful during Saturday's weigh-in ceremony with Nakamura towering over the seasoned Indonesian in a 10-rounder likely to end by knock out.

In the co-main event, Jr. Flyweight Raymond Poon, 21, of Hong Kong will collide with Thai warrior Danai Wasan in a 6-rounder rumble at a maximum weight of 110 lbs (50 kgs).

The clash will be Raymond Poon's first pro fight outside of his native Hong Kong. If he wins, there are plans for him to see action in the Oct 10 card in Hong Kong.

In addition, Jr. Flyweight Hoi Yong Doo of Korea will take on Thailand fighter Attaphon Baenkham in a 4-rounder match-up at a poundage of 110 lbs.

Also, Japanese Super Welterweight Ryoutoku Motoyoma squares of Phongsathon Sompol of Thailand. Their 4-chapter skirmish is at a weight of 154 lbs.

Furthermore, four exciting Thai women warriors will battle in thrilling fights in the Jr. Flyweight and Featherweight division.
