Penalosa (L) and Bautista.

This Friday evening will be an evening of exciting boxing in Makati as new outfit Black Unicorn International Promotions in association with Hardstone Boxing Promotions present to fight fans UPSURGE-1, the 7-fight pro boxing card to take center stage @ Makati Cinema Square.

In the high-voltage headliner, 24-year-old Cebuano southpaw Carlo Caesar Pe?alosa (8-1, 2 KO's) - nephew of Filipino world champions Gerry and Dodie Boy Pe?alosa Sr. - will battle Boholano warrior 19-fight veteran "The Lizard" Vicente Bautista Jr., also 24 year-of-age, in a 10-rounder action for the vacant Philippines Boxing Federation (PBF) Jr. Flyweight belt.

Will Pe?alosa crush "The Lizard" Bautista to keep momentum in his ascending young boxing career...? or will the confident fighter from Tagbilaran, Bohol, stop Pe?alosa on its tracks? There is only one way to know.

Carleans Rivas.

The equally exciting co-main of the evening will feature "Cute and Fearless" fight girl Jr. Flyweight Carleans "Chay" Rivas of Angono, Rizal, in a 6-rounder clash against young wonder woman Floryvic Montero, 22, of the Hurst COPP Boxing Stable in Angeles City, Pampanga.

MORE THRILLING COMBATS

In the heavier super welterweight division, unbeaten Aurelio Angel Jr (4-0, 3 KO's) - who resembles the young version of Filipino military hero Heneral Antonio Luna - will go to war against heavy underdog Edsil Jungco, 31, of Iloilo's L. C. Boxing Stable.

Aurelio (L) and Jungco.

Aurelio, 26, who hails from Davao and fights out of Makati's Black Unicorn Boxing Stable would do anything to keep his unblemished record intact. But Jungco does not care about undefeated records at all. Just same as Conan McGregor, Jungco wants to get the win and that's it. On Friday, fans will find out who beats who. The 6-rounder is at a maximum poundage of 150 lbs.

Moreover, 19-year-old super flyweight Justin Polido (2-2-1, 2 KO's), also of the Black Unicorn stable, will square off dangerous Ernie Mino Jr, 23 from the Camerines Sur Boxing Academy; and this six-rounder at a weight of 115 lbs., promises fireworks.

In addition, flyweight Ruben Cadpa of the famed Pe?alosa Boxing Stable will take on relentless Zamboangue?o southpaw Alvin Dologuin of the MP Highland Boxing Gym. The clash is a 4-rounder and weights can not exceed the 109 lbs.

MORE BOXERS DOING THEIR PRO DEBUTS

In the international fight of the evening, lightweight Po Sang So of China, fighting out of the Empire Boxing Gym in Kalayaan, Makati, will begin his pro boxing career battling a scheduled 4-rounder against tough-as-nails Pinoy fighter Edison Ebron of the Joe Gapate Boxing Stable in Muntinlupa.

In the first bout of UPSURGE-1, debutant Meljum Pelesio of the Marty Elorde Boxing Stable in Sucat, Para?aque, is set to get into fighting action with Aaron Lozano of the Fit & Feet Boxing Gym in Barangay Bambang in Taguig, Metro Manila.

UPSURGE-1: Carlo Caesar Pe?alosa vs Vicent Bautista for the Philippines Boxing Federation (PBF) Jr. Flyweight belt is a production of new boxing outfit Black Unicorn Boxing of businesswoman/manager/promoter Kate Jaucian in association with master matchmaker Art Monis of Hardstone Boxing.

The boxing date is this Friday Aug 25 @ Makati Square Arena.

The first fight begins at 4 PM.
