Hardstone Boxing and Supremacy Promotions have joined efforts to proudly present to boxing fans "Bangis Ng Makati" on August 24 in Barangay Palanan, Makati City, an exciting pro boxing card in honor of former Olympic athlete and taekwondo fighting champion Congressman Monsour del Rosario.

The headliner of the entertaining 8-fight card features the super bantamweight 10-rounder war between glory-hungry southpaws Lorence Rosas (7-1-2, 2 KO's) of the paradise city of Puerto Princesa in Palawan, squaring off against the tough Danny "The Hammer" Tampipi, 28, of San Miguel, Tarlac.

The evening's co-main event is equally thrilling as world-ranked WBC # 11 Michael A. Dasmari?as (25-2, 16 KO's) of Libon, Albay, has already targeted "The Waray Warrior" Mateo Handig of Catarman, Northern Samar, for punishment in an 8-rounder session. Will this combat make it to the last bell? The weight limit is at 119 lbs.

For the world-rated southpaw "Hot 'n Spicy" Michael Dasmari?as, the clash is a "must-win" as he has been scheduled to see action in an international boxing event in Singapore this coming October 20, according to matchmaker Art Monis.

An unexpected loss to the underdog Waray Warrior would surely derail Dasmari?as' good plans for October, not to mention that the WBC might take him out of the bantamweight world rankings. Surely, Dasmari?as does not fancy that. But.. could the good plans be derailed? The Waray Warrior says yes.

MORE EXCITING FIGHTS

In the main supporting bout, Jr. Flyweight combatant Miko Sacro (6-3, 1 KO) of Tarlac Big 5 Boxing Stable squares off Hardstone warrior "Kidlat" JC Francisco, 23, from Mariveles, Bataan, in an action 8-rounder at a weight limit of 109 lbs.

In addition, 21-year-old Samar boxer Dexter Eraya (2-1, 1 KO), fighting out of the JCJ Boxing Stable in Makati is in collision course against Iloilo-native Juanito Paredes, 25, of the Olivares Boxing Stable in Para?aque. Their rumble is a 6-rounder at a weight limit of 127 lbs.

Furthermore, promising undefeated 18-year-old Hardstone Flyweight Prince Andrew Lauro (4-0, 3 KO's) of Valenzuela City, Metro Manila, looks for his 5th pro win when he battles a tough 6-rounder against Masbate veteran southpaw Noel Guliman, 33, of the Lipa, Bantangas Knock Out Boxing Gym. Hard fight for both.

Also, tough-looking Manile?o super lightweight warrior Raymond Dela Cruz, 25, of the JCJ Boxing Stable will swap power blows with unheralded Katipunan, Quezon City boxer Diover Mangayaay, 28, of the Elorde Boxing Gym . Their feud is at a scheduled 4 stanzas @ a weight limit of 141 pounds.

BOXERS DOING PRO DEBUT. WILL ANY OF THEM MAKE IT BIG?

Super bantamweight Jun Bismanos of JCJ Gym in Makati will begin his pro boxing career trading knuckles in a 4-rounder against 20-year-old Camerines-native Jasper Cayno (1-1, 1 KO) of the Arios Boxing Stable in Las Pi?as. Will nervousness eat Bismanos... or will he perform as his coach as prepared him to do? There is only one way to know.

In the first bout of the exciting evening, rookie Jun-Jun Cadpa of the famed Pe?alosa Boxing Gym will make his pro debut against 22-year-old Enrique Magsalin (1-0, 1 KO) of the Alliance Boxing Stable in Pasay City. Their contest is a 4-chapter skirmish in the Jr. Flyweight division and the two fighters can't wait to put their gloves on. But Thursday is the day.

"Bangis Ng Makati" is a production of Hardstone Boxing Promotions of master matchmaker Art Monis in association with Supremacy Promotions this Thursday August 24 at Barangay Palanan Covered Court, Casino Street, Makati City.

The evening is in honor of former taekwondo fighter champion and Olympic athlete Congressman Monsour del Rosario, representative of the first legislative district of Makati.

Fights start at 5 PM.
