Boxing is back in Danao City, Cebu and the appointment is @ Sabang Gym tonight for an evening of exciting professional and amateur fights. In the main event, Leyte?o southpaw Cris Ganoza (12-1, 6 KO's) of the Big Yellow Boxing Gym and dangerous Garry Rojo of Bohol made weight and are ready to rumble!

The tough Ganoza (top photo, left) is back in Cebu after getting a lost last March in Manila, while Rojo comes from knocking out his last two foes in his paradise hometown of Bohol Island Ganoza and Rojo, both 22-year-old, are hungry-for-glory warriors, willing to do anything for a win tonight.

In the co-main, 21-year-old Leyte?o Dennis Guibao of the Big Yellow Boxing Gym climbs the ring for the first time as a pro fighter to battle Welberto Rota of Compostela, Cebu. Both warriors weighed-in at an identical tonnage of 106 lbs and the clash promises to be a non-stop, action-packed 4-rounder.

Ganoza and Guibao are prepared by experienced coach Christopher "PingPing" Tepora, head coach of Big Yellow Boxing Gym.

Rota (L) and Guibao (R) duke it out in the co-main event.

EXCITING SUPPORTING BOUTS

The main supporting bout features veteran 147-pounders. Southpaw Rey "Malone" Labao of the SGG Stable is back in the ring after a one-year hiatus to battle more active orthodox Jhun Ryan Quimbo, 27, of Compostela, Cebu. Fans will see the rumble of an orthodox vs a southpaw. Most likely this rough clash will end up in a KO. So who will be the one to hit the canvas?

In another thrilling match-up, hard-hitting Gensan fighter Ken Jordan (4-1-1, 4 KO's) of the AM7 Stable Bantayan Island squares off tough bantamweight Anthony Galigao (5-9, 2 KO's) of Batuan, Bohol Province. Galigao, 26, hasn't fought since he won in Maasin last August, but is now back in the ring, aiming at scoring a good win.

The first pro battle of the evening will be the Minimumweight rumble of debutant April Jay Abne of the Peping Co Boxing Stable trading boxing skills against Roman Getalada of Compostela, Cebu.

Let's take note that Getalada hasn't scored a win in his prior two combats, and he even lost by points in his last combat in Masbate. That's why Getalada targets the boxing newcomer April Jay to make him his first victim. So what will happen? Will Getalada scalp the rookie April Jay ... or will it be the other way around?

The exciting card card will also feature five electrifying amateur fights... and nobody knows if the future Filipino big boxing star will be fighting tonight in Danao. That's why all Boxing Fans in Cebu should to support the exciting new fighters @ Sabang Gym in Danao City, Cebu, tonight (Saturday August 5).

The "Bakbakan Sa Sabang" card is the production of new Cebu boxing outfit Big Yellow Card of 37-year-old promoter Seth Tio in association with matchmaker head coach Christopher "PingPing" Tepora.
