WBO # 2 featherweight Mark "Magnifico" Magsayo was simply too fast, too powerful and too skilled for the brave Nicaraguan veteran Daniel "El General" Diaz who was forced to take violent blows and a hard visit to the canvas from the very first instances of round one during the main event of Pinoy Pride 41: New Generation Warriors at the IEC Convention Center in Cebu Saturday night.
More thunderous punishment poured on Diaz and two more times "El General" was floored during the fast paced action sequence, succumbing the Nicaraguan flat on his back while referee Danrex Tapdasan counted him out. Time was 1:45 of round 1.
With the win, Mark "Magnifico" Magsayo (17-0, 13 KO's defended for the second time his WBO International Title which he won by knocking out Chris Avalos in April of last year.
Tonight's card Pinoy Pride 41: New Generation warriors was a production of ALA Boxing Promotions whose president and CEO is Michael Aldeguer.
Magsayo send Diaz to the canvas.
Referee Danrex Tapdasan waives off the fight.
WBO vice-president for Asia-Pacific puts on the belt on Magsayo.
