Undefeated Filipino world-ranked rising-star Mark "Magnifico" Magsayo and his more experienced challenger Daniel "El General" Diaz of Nicaragua weighed-in at an identical 126 lbs., ahead of their war for the WBO International Featherweight title tomorrow at the plush IEC Convention Center in Cebu City, Philippines.
Both warriors looked in great shape ready for tomorrow. The Nicaraguan is a couple of inches taller and with more reach. Both are orthodox boxers, so fans hope for fists to do the job with no accidental headbutts.
The 12-rounder will be Magsayo's second defense of his WBO Int'l belt, which he captured by knocking out California former world-title challenger Chris Avalos in April of last year.
But the new man in front of Magsayo is more experienced than any other boxer that "Magnifico" has battled so far.
This exciting WBO International clash is the main event of ALA Boxing Promotions PINOY PRIDE 47: NEW GENERATION WARRIORS that will fire-up Cebu City tomorrow July 8, and local boxing fans can't wait.
General admission tickets are 300, 200 and 100 pesos.
Gates open at 4 PM.
