Tony Weeks has been picked to referee the rematch between Filipino ring idol Manny Pacquiao and Mexican icon Marco Antonio Barrera at the Mandalay Bay Resort Hotel and Casino on Sunday, Manila Time.
Nevada State Athletic Commission executive director Keith Kizer informed Viva Sports/Manila Standard Today about the assignment.
One of Weeks' most memorable assignments was the all-time classic first fight between Jose Luis Castillo and Diego "Chico" Corrales (above photo), where Corrales came back from two knockdowns in the 10th round before hitting Castillo with a barrage of unanswered punches forcing Weeks to jumped in and stopped the contest.
Kizer also informed us that the judges would be Tom Schreck, Jerry Roth and Glenn Trowbridge.
