LEWKOWICZ PRESENTS WBC PRESIDENT SULAIMAN WITH URUGUAYAN FLAG IN GRATITUDE FOR WBC?S STEADFAST SUPPORT

On his visit to Mexico City, Uruguayan promoter Sampson Lewkowicz, presented WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman a flag of his country as a symbol of the steadfast support he has always received during his 21 years as promoter and manager, working with 20 world champions.

Among the current world champions handled by Lewkowicz in partnership with Filipino promoter Sammy Gello-ani is IBF flyweight champion Johnreil Casimero.

Sampson is the current organizer of the successful ?Mercosur amateur boxing tournament endorsed by the WBC.

Sampson was clear stating this great sport has been very inspirational to his life and that it has given to him many great opportunities and for this very reason he is now opening doors.

Lewkowicz said he ?fondly remembered his mentor and friend? the late WBC president Don Jose Sulaiman, who always talked with him about serving the sport in order to make it ever better.?

He also explained that the Mercosur Contest has the goal of honoring the man who transformed boxing plus giving youth opportunities before they take the leap to professionalism.
