ANOTHER FILIPINO BOXER FED TO SASAKUL

Another Filipino boxer has been fed to former world champion Chatchai Sasakul and as expected lost a unanimous six round decision.

Jenrey Verano who is listed as a super flyweight with a record of 16-10-2 with 7 knockouts was beaten by the 37 year old Sasakul who boasts of a record of 62-3 with 38 knockouts in a fight card at the Meechai Chaleroensap Market Boxing Arena in Ubon Ratchathani, Thailand on Friday.

Verano was coming off a win over Jerry Manganip who had a miserable record of 2 wins as against 12 losses which hardly qualified Verano to take on the veteran Sasakul.

Saskul is the same fighter who scored a brutal fourth round knockout over 24 year old Lito Sisnorio who died after undergoing surgery for a blood clot in his brain last March 30.

Games and Amusements Board chairman Eric Buhain imposed a ban on Filipino boxers fighting in Thailand but subsequently lifted the ban on a case-to-case basis but questions continue to be raised over some mismatches.

In another fight on the same card a boxer identified by Bangkok Post columnist and WBC official Edward Thangrajah as Lopez De Lada with no fight record on boxrec.com lost by a sixth round TKO to undefeated Thai Panomrunglek Kratingdaeng who had a record of 19-0 with 11 knockouts.
