?FLASH? ELORDE GRANDSONS WIN BY UNANIMOUS TEN ROUND DECISIONS OVER INDONESIAN OPPONENTS

Two grandsons of the late, great Gabriel ?Flash? Elorde have handily beaten their Indonesian opponents in a Manila Rotary Club ?Boxing Kontra Droga? fight card at Caf? Lupe along the Sumulong Highway in Antipolo last Saturday.

WBO Oriental lightweight champion Juan Martin ?Bai? Elorde handily beat 32 year old southpaw Boido Simanjutak of Indonesia via a ten round unanimous decision with all three judges scoring the fight for Juan Martin Elorde. Silvestre Abainza scored it 98-92, British judge Robert Bridges also 98-92 and Greg Ortega 97-93.

Boido dropped to 23 wins as against 41 losses and 2 draws with 9 knockouts. It was the Indonesian?s 18th loss in his last 19 fights while ?Bai? Elorde improved to 21-1-1 with 8 knockouts.

WBO Asia Pacific junior featherweight champion Juan Miguel ?The Boss? Elorde also won handily over another Indonesian Junior Bajawa who?s record fell to 14-10 with 7 knockouts. The 29 year old ?Bai? Elorde improved his record to 22-1 with 11 knockouts.

In an action-packed battle for the vacant Philippine bantamweight title 27 year old Glen ?Lover Boy? Suminguit won by a 3rd round knockout over Alvin Bais who dropped to 15-7-1 with 4 knockouts while the new champion improved to 19-2 with 10 knockouts.
